The Training Centre of PAROC intends to disseminate among the faithful, the outcomes from research and data-analysis-interpretation through various means that include different courses, workshops, training programs etc. It has a particular mission of the training of lay leaders, clergy and religious engaged in pastoral care. Based on the research findings of the PAROC and responding to the pastoral challenges of our time, the Centre prepares different sessions in organisational and leadership skills for the persons engaged in pastoral care in the dioceses, parishes, congregations, and institutions. Familycentred and participatory pastoral ministry through accompaniment is the focal point of the training programmes and courses. The Centre organises different sessions from an interdisciplinary perspective in other words from biblical, theological, pastoral, spiritual, sociological, psychological, and managerial perspectives. The pedagogy of our training programmes includes intellectual inputs, case studies, interactive sessions like panel discussions, video presentations, experience-sharing sessions, group dynamics, self-awareness questionnaires, reading materials, etc.

The Training Centre assures to design the courses and outreach programmes by taking into consideration the pastoral needs of a particular context and by making maximum use of the competency of the resource team. The content, nature, duration and medium of each session could be adapted according to the requirements of the particular group and in discussion with the organizers. Courses are offered in person and through online platforms. The training programmes are conducted generally in the campus of Marymatha Major Seminary.
